Aww. I thought it might have been you. I'm not sure leaving LJ was a good move, really. I lost so much community in doing so.

They're just epsom salts with peppermint and eucalyptus oils, but they do help a lot. It's nice to be out of pain for a few hours. Especially after a very tension inducing day - that area on Saturday was bad enough to thoroughly creep me out.

The doom will pass. The doom will pass faster if people stop doing things that tick me off. I need to figure out how to remind my vitaminist that lecturing me about caffeine is not the right response to me admitting that I finally stopped drinking it.

I set up the RSS feed, though significantly for my own personal convenience. [grin] I missed reading your entries. What's in the bath salts that work for you? Hope you get through all the doom and feel better.

I've seen some very compressible ones in small pouches that I've considered, but until now they were "oh that's cute" not "hey, useful!".

Iced tea, hot tea, and water are my restaurant defaults. If you bring your own decaf tea, you can just ask for hot water and they're usually okay with that. Cull prefers a mix of orange juice and carbonated water... it cuts the sweetness some.

Regarding bags, I just ordered a tiny one that's supposed to be very crushable. I'll let you know how I like it. (It was $5, so no great loss if I don't, but I can get more if I do.)

Mmmmmm stroganoff. I did not have luck with that recipe, it always came out too tough, until I started using Cook's Illustrated. They explained why things are done the way they are in recipes and then I actually did it right.

Sadly, that's expected. There is a lack of integration there.

Bugger. I should have said: I have RSS working for reading other people's stuff, and the RSS feed of this blog working. LJ is a #$!%# about talking to outside stuff, so that doesn't do much good for people keeping up with what I'm doing.

I've been reading your stuff just fine - I just can't comment on it unless I log in with my LJ account, but I don't think there's much you could do about that which wouldn't be extra hassle. It's not a big deal for me to log in when I want to comment.

I have RSS working now, including for all locked posts, so I've been keeping up just fine. I'm still not sure whether I'm doing this long term, but this is being a year of stepping outside my old systems, so I'm giving it a few months. But yeah.. I'm over here, I'm fine, I'm trying to hold myself down to posting once a week. More progress in the past month than usual for me, actually. *grins* I'm not sure I want to know how much of that is due to spending less time on LJ, but at least I'm not losing track of too many friends, even if they sometimes temporarily lose track of me.

Yeah, it seems to be not working so well... I missed all your recent posts, grr. I was wondering where you'd gone and if you were okay. Go technical glitches. Can you still read my stuff, or is that broken too?

Akregator on Linux supports locked posts, or did last time I tried it. Log in to LJ once and all the friends-locked stuff then comes through.
